One of Nigeria’s leading social-impact health organisations.
Founded in 1985, SFH Nigeria is part of the Society for Family Health Group, a forty-year-old organisation working across Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Côte d’Ivoire. Inside Nigeria we partner with the Federal Ministry of Health, state governments, donors, and the private sector to scale an Essential Package of Health Services for the families who need it most.
Vision & Mission.
Improve health outcomes by ensuring Nigerian communities, particularly the poor and vulnerable, have access to affordable, quality health services that allow them to lead healthier lives.
Five groups. Thirty-six states. One Federation.
From the family unit outward, SFH’s programmes reach five beneficiary groups across all 36 states and the FCT, and, increasingly, partners across the SFH Group footprint.

Seven principles. One mission.
The values that shape how SFH Nigeria’s teams design programmes, deliver care, and report what we find, taken straight from how we operate every day.
We acknowledge an obligation to set and demand the highest standards of accountability in the use of resources entrusted to us.
We are a learning organisation, basing our strategies on evidence and objective evaluation for continuous improvement.
We embrace opportunities for furthering our mission through partnerships with other organisations.
We recognise and strive to respect the diversity inherent in individuals, organisations, and our nation.
We are committed to selfless service to humanity, especially the poor and vulnerable throughout Nigeria.
We are committed to demonstrating honesty and transparency at all times in our dealings.
We value creativity and innovation, seeking to transform challenges into opportunities to achieve our mission.
Six strategic directions, one agenda.
SFH Nigeria's strategy is organised around six directions that shape every programme decision, from how we engage government to how we strengthen the supply chain and develop the workforce that delivers care.
