Three focal areas, leveraging years of social-marketing expertise.
SFH’s focal NCD health areas include cervical cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes. Our interventions leverage years of expertise in health promotion, social marketing, behaviour-change communication, and research. SFH aims to transform access to Cervical Cancer Screening and Preventive Therapy (CCS & PT) for women in low- and middle-income countries by integrating cervical-cancer prevention and therapy with reproductive-health services.
The three NCDs we prioritise.
Each focal area was selected because it carries a heavy disease burden in Nigeria and because SFH can move outcomes at scale through the channels we already operate.
Cervical cancer
A leading cause of cancer death among Nigerian women. SFH integrates Cervical Cancer Screening and Preventive Therapy (CCS & PT) into existing reproductive-health services so women are screened and treated in the settings they already trust.
Cardiovascular diseases
Hypertension and heart disease are the leading non-communicable killers in Nigeria. SFH leverages behaviour-change communication, social marketing, and research to drive demand for screening and lifelong management.
Diabetes
A growing burden in urban and peri-urban Nigeria. SFH’s approach combines awareness, early detection, and linkage to ongoing care, particularly for under-served populations and women of reproductive age.
