INVITATION TO SUBMIT PROPOSAL ON YOUTH HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT, NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES (NCD) AND WATER PROGRAMMING Society for Family Health (SFH) invites proposals from community based organisations (CBOs) and youth led organisations in the following focus countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Liberia for projects aimed at addressing critical health and development challenges in the areas of youth health and development, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and water and sanitation programming. These focus areas are crucial to SFH commitment to improving public health outcomes, reducing inequalities, and fostering sustainable development in West Africa.
With the continent’s growing youth population, addressing the health and development needs of young people, particularly in marginalised communities, is essential. Society for Family Health (SFH) seeks proposals from organisations in three key areas:
Youth Health and Development:
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs): SFH aims to reduce the burden of NCDs like hypertension and diabetes. Proposals should include awareness campaigns using community health workers (especially those in the pharma PHC area such as community pharmacists and PPMVs) and media, community-based screening services, and long-term patient management using digital technology to ensure sustainability.
Water Programming (WASH): Proposals should address access to clean potable water through infrastructure projects, improve water quality with treatment solutions, and promote sustainable water management practices. Emphasis should be on community-led approaches and behaviour change communication to combat waterborne diseases and enhance environmental sustainability.
