Society for Family Health (SFH) is a Nigerian non-governmental organisation (NGO) working in partnership with communities, government, donors and the private sector for universal health coverage and social justice of all Nigerians.
We deploy health system strengthening and total market approaches in a bid to unify the private and public health sectors to scale an Essential Package of Health Services (EPHS) offering of good quality to all Nigerians. We leverage on over thirty years of thought leadership in a range of practical community-level interventions and policy engagements to scale population-level impact.
SFH connects all Nigerians in an innovative social business model to expand access to essential health commodities while boosting overall national health financing.
SFH targets In-School and Out-of-School Youths, Men, Women and Children, increases demand for quality delivery of health care and ultimately provides free to highly subsidised products and services in Malaria, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Family Planning, Cervical Cancer, HIV & AIDS, Child Health, Maternal Health, Safe Clean Water to and through private and public health facilities across Nigeria, and now aiming the world at large starting with some African countries.
Engage Government and partners to accelerate universal healthcare access: Explores different ways, each with its own merits, of accelerating healthcare access for all Nigerians.
Develop an efficient and sustainable supply chain for healthcare products: Focuses on building a system that facilitates continuous access to healthcare products (e.g. medicines, health supplies, etc.) for everyone, including those living in hard-to-reach areas.
Leverage technology and data to optimise processes and health initiatives: Focuses on using technology to optimise processes, including SFH programmes, which would maximise the impact of the work done by SFH.
Develop human resources for the health sector: Focuses on developing human resources for the health sector, to improve health outcomes by: 1) reducing the burden on current health staff and
2) maximising the likelihood of people being seen by skilled health workers.
Achieve organisational sustainability: Focuses on ensuring that SFH continues to be able to support Nigeria in access to healthcare through financial sustainability and relevancy of programmes for the health sector.
Be a thought leader in the health space: Focuses on SFH building its capacity to develop insightful and accessible content.
